Hydrant Flushing

On Thursday, December 2, 2021 water operations personnel will be flushing the hydrants on Fairway Drive, Sunset Avenue, Circle Drive and Greenlawn Drive.  Residents may experience low water pressure and discolored water.  After this section is completed the hydrant flushing program will be concluded for the entire village.  Thank you for your patience during this process.

Notice of Water Line Repair for Henry Street & Dutcher Avenue

Due to an unexpected water leak, the Village will be conducting repair work today. Water users on Dutcher Avenue & Henry Street may experience a loss of service or low water pressure starting at 12pm until approximately 4pm today.

PAWLING FIRE DISTRICT

            NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Section 6(g) of the General Municipal Law as amended, that the resolution published herewith has been adopted by the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Pawling Fire District in the Village and Town of Pawling, Dutchess County, New York, on November 2, 2021.  Such resolution was adopted subject to a permissive referendum set forth in Section 6(g)(4) of the General Municipal Law as amended.

NOTICE OF PERMISSIVE REFERENDUM

            A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A 2022 – 2023 PIERCE ARROW XT CLASS A PUMPER AND ATTENDANT EQUIPMENT NOT TO EXCEED THE SUM OF $875,000.00 UTILIZING THE CAPITAL RESERVE FUND FOR APPARATUS AND EQUIPMENT. PURSUANT TO SECTION 6(g) OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL LAW AS AMENDED FOR THE PAWLING FIRE DISTRICT, VILLAGE AND TOWN OF PAWLING, DUTCHESS COUNTY, NEW YORK.

BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Pawling Fire District in the Village and Town of Pawling, Dutchess County, New York, as follows:
Section 1: The Board hereby determines it is in the best interests of the Pawling Fire District to purchase a new 2022-2023 Class A Pumper.
Section 2: The utilization of the Capital Reserve Fund For Apparatus and Equipment for the purpose of said purchase is hereby authorized to an extent not to exceed $875,000.00.
Section 3: It is hereby determined that the period of probable usefulness of the Class A Pumper is twenty (20) years pursuant to Local Finance Law Section 11.00 (27) as amended.
Section 4: Upon this resolution being adopted, an abstract shall be published in a newspaper having a general circulation in the Fire District together with a notice from the Fire District Secretary in the form provided by Section 175 of the Town Law as amended.
Section 5: This Resolution is adopted subject to a permissive referendum as set forth in General Municipal Law Section 6(g)(4) as amended and will not take effect until thirty (30) days after its adoption; or until approved by the affirmative vote of a majority of the electors of the Pawling Fire District qualified to vote at an annual election of Fire District Officers, if within thirty (30) days after the adoption of the resolution, a petition in the form and content as set forth in General Municipal Law Section 6(g)(4) as amended is filed with the Fire District Secretary.

The resolution was thereupon declared duly adopted by an affirmative vote of the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Pawling Fire District in the Village and Town of Pawling, Dutchess County, New York.
