Pawling Village Green Construction Updates

Week of August 9, 2010

Merchants' information update meeting was held Tuesday, August 10th at Lathrop.
The Merchants' Parking Lot will be closing August 26th and will remain closed for the duration of the project.
The contractor's start date is August 30th.
The Mayor, the engineer, and the contractor met with representatives from MetroNorth (MN) on August 12th to go over MN's rules and regulations. MN reps are on board with the project. The contractor and MN also held a safety meeting. Requests for MN flagmen (required for construction in MN right-of-way) were sent.
Every effort will be made to notify the Village a week in advance when sections of Charles Colman Boulevard are scheduled to be closed to be able to get information out to merchants and the public. The Village asks the merchants help in getting this information out to the public.

Fencing will be erected along the perimeter of the work site.
Trees will be removed.
Some parking spaces on the northbound side of Charles Colman Boulevard may be closed during the day when necessary.

Week of September 6, 2010

The contractor will begin to excavate and form the wall footing along the tracks.
There should be minimal parking disruptions, although some parking spaces on the northbound side of Charles Colman Boulevard may be closed during the day when necessary.

Week of September 13, 2010

The contractor will continue to excavate and form the wall footing along the tracks.
It is possible that there may be some concrete deliveries which may cause slight parking disruptions along the northbound side of Charles Colman Boulevard.
